As of Tuesday, December 2nd, our Capital Campaign has received $1,817,155.47 in pledges and gifts towards our $2.5 million goal. This marks us as 72.7% complete. The pledges and gifts received are from 177 families who have thus far participated in the Capital Campaign.
What projects are completely finished?
Currently, the projects our of capital campaign that are completely finished are: retirement of debt from church roof repairs, repairs made to the church organ, painting of sanctuary and side chapels.
What are the final expenditures for these finished projects?
Debt of church roof repairs - $37,744.48
Church organ repairs - $27,225
Sanctuary and side chapel painting - $267,521 (painting contractor); $118,650 (scaffolding) Note that the use of the scaffolding was also for part of the church lighting project.
Property acquisition - $146,000 (purchase of property); $11,024.93 (land survey and environmental site assessment)
The church interior lighting project is still underway. The delay from the fixture manufacturers is still an issue. A contractor should be awarded the project of the adoration chapel this week. The exterior waterproofing and painting of the church is awaiting approval from the Diocese. Plans for the parish hall renovations are currently being drawn. Your continuous support of our capital campaign is allowing us to continue moving forward. May the Lord continue to bless the work of our hands!
For those who have their Legacy Campaign packets and have not yet turned in their pledge, please do so at your convenience. Let’s keep moving the thermometer closer to our $2.5 million goal.
As the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays are quickly approaching, we will be breaking from our campaign receptions until January. However, if you would like to receive a packet now and have not yet attended a reception, please call Spring Viator at the parish office. Arrangements can easily be made to get it to you.
We are grateful to the Knights of Columbus, New Iberia Council 1208 who presented a check to Fr. Blanda to assist with the Legacy Capital Campaign. Their donation is to assist with a new stove which has been purchased for the parish hall. This begins the first of projects slated for the parish hall as outlined in the scope of our Capital Campaign.
