Couple Checkup

The Couple Checkup is designed to help you and your partner build a more satisfying and intimate relationship. Just answering the questions will stimulate thoughts and attitudes about your relationship. It is designed to activate dialogue, discovery, and increase the overall quality of your relationship.

It will help you discover your strengths as a couple. Strengths are what enable you to enjoy, and to continue developing a healthy relationship. It will also help you identify issues that are threatening the vitality of your relationship and may need to be addressed.

Click Here to Contact Us! Our mission is to serve the poor and needy of Iberia Parish with immediate assistance for critical and basic human needs. We treat clients with respect, dignity, and cheerfulness; counseling them on personal and financial issues; encouraging them; and praying with them.

In 2010, the Social Service Center continued to serve with outstanding support from the community. 70% of our funding was directly from individual donors. We also received funds from several local Churches, Iberia Parish, the City of New Iberia and the United Way.

Clothing is received from individuals, from local retailers and from Coats for Kids. We purchase food for the Food Pantry and also receive food from Second Harvest Food Bank, the Food Net food drive, the Postal Workers food drive, food drives at schools, Churches and other organizations and individual food donations. We were able to give about 60 Easter baskets, 300 Christmas toys, school supplies to over 50 children and other special items. We thank God for His care of the poor through our generous benefactors.

The median age of our clients is 50. Of our clients who receive food stamps, most get less than $275/month. 50% of our clients are unable to work because of age or health. Over 90 of our clients were homeless or transient. Clients can get help once a month, but 50% of our clients only once or twice during the past year.

Hours of Operation:

We serve the first 15 people in line at 9:00 am and the first 15 people in line at 1:00 pm.
